SUMMER PROGRAMS 2019

Join us for a wonderful, ballet-filled summer! Dancers will have the opportunity to keep up their ballet training during the summer break with engaging programs designed to increase their dance fluency and refine their technique. Contact us for registration details.

STORY BALLET CAMP (5-7 years)

Students will enjoy an immersive experience exploring the stories of Cinderella and Thumbelina as they are introduced to the characters and music, as well as choreography and stagecraft. Daily ballet class and themed activities will help dancers to advance their ballet technique in a creative and engaging way. Each day will have various projects, such as painting scenery, making crafts and acting exercises, to prepare for our final day performance. BEGINNER BALLET INTENSIVE (8-11 years)

The Beginner Ballet Intensive is designed for novice-level dancers (completed Ballet 1 or Ballet 2) who seek a more rigorous and intensive camp experience. This program aims to assist students in becoming more focused and dedicated dancers. Students will improve their technique and strength though floor barre exercises, barre, center and allegro work. Students will also improve their dance fluency through classical variations, character dance, contemporary dance and new choreography. READ MORE…

SUMMER TECHNIQUE & CONDITIONING (4 years and up)

Students are given the opportunity to not only keep up their ballet technique during the summer break, but to refine and improve their skills through intensive weekly classes. Dancers will also increase their ballet vocabulary as they gain fluency in previously introduced exercises and explore more challenging technique. Each class will cover floor barre, barre, center and allegro, followed by stretch and conditioning. Detailed attention will be given to alignment and body awareness in space. An additional stretch & conditioning class will be offered on Saturdays for those that would like to focus on building their strength and flexibility. READ MORE…
